Graduate Diploma in Tourism Management with Work placement

This course is designed to prepare you with the necessary skills to successfully undertake a master’s level course. You will develop the critical thinking and analysis skills that will be crucial to your success on a master’s course.

You will also study two modules, specific to your chosen subject of study. This will complement the academic skills you will develop, and give you a foundation of subject knowledge to build on during your work placement and when you begin your masters qualification.

You will be supported in your placement search. Payments during the placements are near the national minimum wage and may not cover living costs. The value of a placement is to develop your understanding of the industry.

- Entrepreneurship in Hospitality and Tourism
- Understanding the Tourism Industry.
Entry criteria
Any Degree

IELTS 6.0 overall and a (UKBA required) minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).

Study progression
On successful completion of this course, you can choose to progress on to our MA Tourism Management or our MA Airline and Airport Management.

Study mode: Full-time

Duration: One academic year plus a work placement of a maximum of 24 weeks. Start date September 2013
