With demand on the rise for gypsum board in Qatar, launching Qatar’s local gypsum board factory became a necessity to satisfy the need of the local construction sector. Launched as a part of Mackeen Industrial, Qatar Gypsum Board Factory (Qgyps®) envisages producing 8 million square meters of gypsum board per year to account for most of the local market consumption of gypsum boards, covering a lion’s share of local demand for the material.
