General Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic must have 5+ years of experience in machine setup and tear down, tool and die sharpening, electrical control troubleshooting and performing failure analysis for root cause.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Operate a cold roll forming iron machine.
· Must have advanced mechanical aptitude and ability
· Must have strong knowledge of electrical wiring repairs and installations, AC/DC controls and schematic diagrams.
· Must have experience in mechanical maintenance of production machinery, including maintenance of pneumatics and hydraulics and ordering machine parts.
· Loads and unloads parts from rolling mills
· Performs quality checks instructions
· Performing Maintenance Mechanics
· Makes adjustments to rolls and completes coil changeovers.
· Responsible for guarding, crane operating and coil handling
· Responsible for following established procedures for:
o ISO-9002/D1-9000, Basic Computer Skills and Blueprint Reading / SPC
o STEPS program to include: JIT, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Six Sigma
· Responsible for a working knowledge of:
o Visual Software/Business Systems
o Raw Material Tickets, Work-In-Process/Finished Goods/Inventory Tickets
o Set-up Charts, Rework/Defective Parts, End of Shift Paperwork and Route Sheets
o Understanding of Tool Storage/Staging Operations
· Responsible for the following:
o Assisting in the placement of raw material.
o Assisting in the removal of parts and packing.
o Cutting parts by hand, where applicable
Education/Experience Requirement
· Engineering degree.
· Previous cold roll-forming experience.
· Ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.  Focuses on Machine setup and tear down, precision measurement adjustments, Tool and Die sharpening, failure analysis to root cause, Electrical Controls troubleshooting.
· Be able to work in a team environment and alone.
 
 Physical Demands
· Able to work in noisy and hot environments.
· May be required to lift up to 50 Kilograms, multiple times in the work shift.
· Requires bending and reaching throughout the work shift in support of wide range of activities such as adjustments, fastening of hoses and/or connections and conducting cleaning activities.

Requires walking and standing for extended periods (up to 12 hours) throughout the work shift.
