Job Description
As the Accountant, your main role will be to handle, prepare, compute, manage, research and analyze all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of our business.
Responsibilities:
1.Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles 2.Prepare budget and financial forecasts
3.Publish financial statements in time
4.Conduct month-end and year-end close process
5.Collect, analyze and summarize account information
6.Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc
7.Prepare and present management Reports Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
8.Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups
9.Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation
10.Advise the company on prevailing laws
11.Preparation of payroll Billing clients and paying invoices and to ensure timely payments
12.To maintain updated schedules for all common utilities. This ensures that the services are not interrupted at any time due to delayed settlement of bills.
Perform any other duty as may be directed by the line manager. Requirements
1.Degree in B. Com and CPAK. Grade Pass in Maths.
2.At least 5 years’ working experience in accounting or relevant field in a busy environment
3.Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
4.Excellent accounting software user
5.Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
6.Registered member of the accounting body
