VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for Senior Oracle DBA for our Qatar operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Skill set required:
• Strong knowledge in Oracle RDBMS Architecture, installation, configuration of Oracle database server.
• 7 + years of handling Oracle RDBMS and RAC infrastructure
• Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle 11g RDBMS, Grid Infrastructure and utilities on Solaris, Linux and Windows servers.
• Expert knowledge of designing High Available solutions for mission critical databases.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle RAC and Grid infrastructure installation and migration.
• Experience with Oracle RMAN, database replication, standby databases, backup and recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning/testing utilizing hot and cold backups.
• Experience setting up, configuring, copying, and moving databases across different platforms and operating systems.
• Experience in coding to provide task automation using Unix shell scripting and or PL/SQL .
• Strong Experience in Performance Tuning (System Tracing, Explain Plan, Autotrace, TKPROF, AWR and ASH).
• Experience in Oracle Advanced Features (Oracle Streams, Advanced Queuing, Partitioning, Materialized Views, compression, database modeling, encryption and design).
• Strong Knowledge in Database Security modules (TDE, Encryption, Auditing and Authentication, Virtual Private Database).
• Strong knowledge in upgrade of databases to 11g /12 C.
• Strong knowledge in different approaches of Data refresh.
• Strong knowledge in Oracle database server patching.
• Experience in Oracle application server10g and Fusion Middleware 11g (Installation, configuration and Migration).
• Experience in Oracle Forms, reports and Discoverer Migration to Fusion Middleware.
• Experience and knowledge in maintaining and managing Sybase ASE database would be an advantage.
• Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral to interact effectively with application team, vendors and external customers.
• Provide on-call/off-hours DBA support as well as perform weekend maintenance tasks.
• Should have experience with multiple client environments.
Quilifications & certifications:

• Bsc /B.E/ B.Tech/ MCA /M.Sc
• Relavent experience minimum of 7+ years in Oracle Database administration.
• Oracle Certified professional or Expert in 10g or 11g and 12c.
• Oracle RAC experience is mandatory
• Certification In Oracle applications forms and reports is added advantage
• Certification or trained in Sybase database administration is added advantage.
• Must have experience in Designing and implementing Oracle HAS.
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)
