Health Safety and Environment Manager
Description:
This position will head up safety for a Qatar based Group in Lusail City.
General Duties:
• Oversee and enforce compliance with all municipality and safety regulations.
• Review internal safety policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and develop new or, where necessary, make recommendations to senior management to amend safety policies and procedures.
• Create a work environment which reflects a commitment to the health and safety of employees.
• Position will report to Project Manager and requires 10+ years of experience in the Gulf.
Position Responsibilities:
• Prepare training programs related to safety regulations
• Provide support and training materials for Site based Safety Coordinators.
• Develop an accident investigation program to prevent recurrence of incidents.
• Direct implementation of strategies to effectively resolve Health and Safety issues.
• Create and maintain a culture reflective of a commitment to an illness and injury -free workplace.
• Provide regular written reports, as well as other production-related results and updates.
